Ring Encoder
Series:RE
Grayhill’s new optical Ring Encoder is an innovative device with a hollow shaft. This allows easy integration of electromechanical functions such as LEDs and center pushbuttons. The optical sensing technology offers a lifespan of 1 million cycles, which makes the Ring Encoder ideal for applications that require extended rotational life.
The integrated Schmitt trigger and pull-up resistor enhance efficiency while conserving space and reducing costs, which are important features for compact designs. With support for both 5 V and 3.3 V power options, it can be utilized in standard or energy-efficient circuits. The low-power version of the Ring Encoder uses nearly 100 times less current than most other optical encoders, making it an excellent choice for battery-operated and power-sensitive applications.
